Is Xpickup Worth it?

If you've been looking for a new place to find hookups and no strings attached casual dating, you may have come across XPickup. This place claims to be a fun place to meet others nearby or online for one on one video chats.

The site has over 157,000 profiles made by people across the USA, with about 73,000 active weekly users. From the looks of it, the women on the site outweigh the men, and the average age range on the site is 20-28 years old.

Sign-up Process

Sign-up for this site was a major red flag. New users are asked to provide a username, their gender, the gender they are in search of, and their location. That’s it! You would think that giving at least one profile photo would be necessary to successfully register to the site, but it’s not. XPickup.com simply recommends that users upload a profile picture to their profiles.

I don’t truly understand how some people may not care to know what the person they are speaking to looks like while on a dating site, but I am definitely not one of them. And quite honestly, I dare say that I think most people would turn away from engaging with a profile that doesn't have a profile picture.

Another red flag, pay attention to the consent you give when signing up to the site. You agree that you are okay with your information being shared with third parties and receiving ‘communications’ from computer-generated profiles.

Xpickup Website Usability

This site is basic and screams Facebook circa 2007. Just like the original look of your grandma’s favorite social media platform, the XPickup dating site dons the blue, light gray, and white theme colors. But in an effort to change it up, they’ve added a bit of pink!

Once your registration to the XPickup dating website is complete, you are taken to the homepage, where you can have a look at all the different members in your area or who are currently online.

The navigation menu is located at the start of the page and consists simply of ‘Search,’ ‘Live Cams,’ ‘Sexy Games,’ and ‘Help.’ On the left column of your homepage, you can view member updates, access a list of past matches, and read and respond to messages.

At the bottom of your homepage, you can see who has viewed your profile and view the list of members whose profiles you’ve had a look at yourself. The design of this website is nothing fancy. It leaves no lasting impressions, and this is a sentiment shared by most XPickup reviews.

XPickup Profile Quality

If a dating site doesn't make it mandatory to add a profile photo before you can browse, you can be sure that the profiles are going to be weak. Indeed, many profiles on this site don’t have a photo, and the ones that do have a photo (or several naughty photos), don’t share much information about themselves. But at least they are real people!

If you do come across a profile on this site that has photos and a thorough description on their profile page, don’t be surprised if you come to find out you’ve been sexting with a bot. If you enjoy bot sexting, to each their own. But if you signed up to this site looking for IRL hookups, this scenario is pretty frustrating.

XPickup Features

The other day I read an XPickup review that raves about the site's features. I found this a bit odd because this site does not have much to offer. The features are just as basic as the site’s design. On this platform, members can like others, block others, use safe mode so that they don't leave a trace of their profile stalking behind, and play games.

The site lures in new users with promises of Video Chat, but the site does not host video chats. Instead, users who want to use this feature will be redirected to SlutRoulette.com.

As soon as I realized that this site did not host the video chats, I was ready to call it quits. Maybe I would feel different about investing in this site if it had more active users, but the site, as we speak, has less than 200,000 users, with a little more than a fourth of them actively using the site. This makes my chances of finding a match near me pretty slim. Now, if the site had over a million users, I may consider sticking around longer.

XPickup App

Unsurprisingly, despite what other reviews of Xpickup.com may lead you to believe, this site does not have a mobile app. However, if you choose to open the site via a browser on your phone, it will run just fine. The message boxes may be slightly cut off when you are exchanging messages, but it is manageable.

XPickup Pricing & Payment Options

As soon as you sign up to the site, you will get a few popup windows advertising a special membership fee of 40% off the original price if you sign up within an hour of registering. I find it shocking that other XPickup.com reviews don’t point this out, but that’s a scam. New members should be able to browse around for at least an hour before deciding whether or not they want to pay for a membership. With this 40% off within the first-hour strategy, they are able to reel in money from people before they realize that the site has nothing to offer them. It’s hard to turn down what seems to be a good deal, isn’t it?

If you can resist the 40% off offer, the monthly premium subscriptions, in my opinion, are quite high for what the site offers:

• $19.98 for 3 months
• And $16.66 for 6 months

A paid membership allows you to receive and respond to messages, share some contact info, get priority rankings in search results, watch Adult movies, and get a badge on your profile that lets everyone know you are a premium member.

The platform takes payments via major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, and Amex.

Is Xpickup Safe?

I have yet to find an XPickup review that talks at length about the safety of this site. But as I mentioned earlier in this XPixkup.com dating site review, pay attention to the fine print! At signup, not only are you agreeing to your inbox being hounded by all site notifications, updates, and newsletters, but you agree to share your information with third parties as well. I’m not a fan of my information being shared outside of a dating site, so this was yet another red flag for me.

In terms of customer support, you will be hard-pressed to find help if you are in need of it. The only way to ask for assistance is by sending an email to their support team. If you do hear back from them, it's probably going to be with a significant delay.

Is Xpickup Legit

I’m going to end this review of XPickup with one little piece of advice: run. This place is not worth your time, energy, or money. There are far better hook-up sites out there that have a better user base, reliable customer service, SSL encryption, and will not share your data with third parties.
