Collarspace Review [2023 Update] - Kinks and Fetishes
If you’re looking to hook up with others in the BDSM community who share the same kinks as you, check out this Collarspace Review to find out if this platform is all that you’ve been looking for.
I surprisingly didn’t find many Collarspace reviews online, and the ones I did find didn’t have much information on this dating platform or were wearing others to stay away. So, of course, this inspired me to head over to the site myself and get started on my own CollarSpace review.
The only problem is that once I started digging into the site, I began to understand where all those warnings came from. As an online community dedicated to kinks and fetishes, and BDSM this site leaves very little to the imagination, and I don’t mean that in an entirely good way.
But, the damage is done. I can’t unsee these thighs, so I might as well share this review as a fair warning to others.

What is Collarspace?
CollarSpace.com is more like a run-down porn site than a dating platform. The site promotes itself as a place for people to find casual hookups with others in the BDSM community or those with various kinks and fetishes. I’m not entirely convinced that you will find a casual hookup on this site, but I am totally convinced that this site is not for everyone.
A few nude pics are not shocking on any one profile on a casual hookup site, but the CollarSpace BDSM community pushes it well beyond that. This is a place where lovers of both submission and domination come not only to find a like-minded community but to show off!
Collar Space is supposedly owned by Bayshore Software Technologies and hosts nearly 1.6 million users, with over 56% of those users coming from the United States. The site also claims that there are over 15,000 daily logins, making this a pretty active BDSM dating site.
Is Collarspace worth it?
To get to the point, I don’t think this site is worth it. It’s hard to accept the CollarSpace app as a place where you can meet like-minded people for hookups when you can’t even chat with others. I don’t care what kind of dating site I find myself on - if we can’t have simple communication with other site members, what’s the point?
Signing Up for CollarSpace
It takes several steps to create a profile on Collarspace.
- Create a username and unique password
- Provide a valid email address
- Share your gender identity and sexual orientation
- Disclose details such as your ethnicity, age, and the desired age of your ideal match
- Share various information on your kinks and fetishes, as well as hobbies, dislikes, etc.
After completing all the steps, your profile will be sent for review. If the site administrators are happy with the amount of information provided, your profile will be approved, and you’ll finally have access to the site and its members.
Collarspace Website Usability
Collarspace.com has a flat, bland design. This doesn’t pose a problem when using the site, but it’s not so easy on the eyes. It feels sleazy, honestly.
On the left side of your homepage, you’ll find a navigation bar with all of the various features that the site has to offer. This list is pretty extensive, but amongst them, you'll find features like:
- Browse Photos
- Streaming Video
- Cinema
- Resources
- Toys
- Local Users
- Friends
These features basically fall into one of two categories: making connections with other community members or entertainment, and their titles are pretty self-explanatory.
For example, in “Browse Photos,” you can… you guessed it - browse photos of other members. And in “Who’s Viewing Me” and “Admirers”, you can see who’s had a looksy at your profile and view members who have added you to their favorites.
The site also, of course, has a search feature available for users. The search feature is fun because it lets you search by kink or fetish.
Collarspace.com BDSM Site Features
As I already mentioned earlier in this Collarspace review, this site has quite a lot of features to offer when comparing it to your average dating site. On the Collarspace mobile site, you’ll find:
- Who’s Viewing Me? - View those who have viewed your profile
- Admirers - View those who have added you to their favorites
- Resources - A selection of links to articles on a large variety of kinks and fetishes
- Events - A list of various events within the community happening in locations across the USA
- Streaming Video - A link to a video streaming service
- Cinema - A link to a site with a large selection of adult films.
- Toys - A link out to an affiliate online store that sells a variety of sex toys
- Chat Rooms - Old-school AOL-style chatrooms that are always empty.
- Local Users - A presentation of members in your area.
- Mobile Interface - Basically, the Collarspace app
- Favorites - A list of all of your favorite profiles
- Friends - Connect with others in the community to keep the conversation going
- Support - Access to the site administrators
What’s the Collarspace User Account Like?
The Collarspace app user account is not very user-friendly, unlike other dating sites I reviewed. The interface reflects an amateur dating website circa 1995 and has a teeny viewing window. This means that you’re going to spend a million years scrolling just to read a few hundred characters. And don’t even get me started on the Collarspace mobile site… It's a total headache!
After signing in, you’ll land on your homepage, where you’ll see:
- A menu to the left of the page with the various site spaces/features
- A banner at the top of the page displaying the latest site news
- A search box at the bottom of the page with several drop-down menus in each filter category for you to choose from.
Quality of Users on Collarspace
As for the profiles themselves, they're a bit all over the place. Aside from displaying some of the information you share at sign-up, every profile is different when it comes to the content they share. Some people give you a life story, others stick to speaking about their favorite kinks, etc., etc. There doesn’t appear to be any strict format to follow.
I enjoyed no part of browsing profiles while writing this Collarspace review. It was time-consuming and frustrating.
Credits and Payment Methods for Collarspace.com
It took me a hot minute to accept that I wouldn’t have to pay anything to be part of the Collarspace BDSM community.
I can’t tell you how many websites I come across that market themselves as being 100% free, only to be blocked and asked to buy coins or pay for a premium membership the moment I want to reach out to someone.
But about an hour into my research for this Collarspace review, it hit me - the site is really free! But here’s the thing: a lot of the site features are not hosted on CollarSpace.com. When you click on certain “features,” you are redirected to different sites, many of which you'll have to pay to access the contents.
But overall, Collarspace.com is free when it comes to what you will find on its site - not on its affiliate sites.
Is There a CollarSpace Mobile Site?
Oh, there’s a CollarSpace mobile site, alright. And, just like the desktop version described earlier in this Collarspace review, it’s a doozy! The plus is that if you can deal with the desktop version, you’ll be fine with the Collarspace mobile site.
There currently is no Collarspace app, and considering the layout of the current site, I doubt there is one lined up for the near future.
Privacy and Security of Collarspace
I spent a good deal of time trying to find information on collalrspace.com’s security features, and I wasn't able to come up with anything. As far as the site's Privacy policy, I would take a very close look at it before signing up. Anything you post on the site is deemed public, so be sure to keep yourself under a clever username and be mindful of what you post.
Is Collarspace legit and safe to use?
When you see some of the videos or pics other site members share, you’re sure to ask yourself, “Is Collarspace legit?” Honestly, it was pretty hard for me to determine whether it was or not, particularly considering the amount of fake profiles I came across. Ultimately, I feel confident in my impression that people very likely connect on this site to live out fantasies and satisfy fetishes and just have a jolly good time with other like-minded people. But even more likely is that Collarspace.com is mainly an online space for people to join together and live in their kinks and fantasies for a bit, whether through chat, video, forums, photos, etc
However, even on very conservative dating websites, it is recommended to be cautious about your online interactions with others and especially cautious when you meet site members offline. However, Collarspace doesn’t seem to have a lot to say about safe dating or online interactions. The BDSM community puts an emphasis on safe and consensual interactions, but unless i’m digging into their “Resources” feature, there really is no obvious information on safe dating provided.
There is a support feature on the website that basically allows you to send an email to site administrators if something were to occur. But I personally don't have a ton of confidence in the amount of support that will be given. Don’t get me wrong, they very likely would take claims of abuse or harassment seriously, but I personally prefer to frequent a dating site that has a more present customer/member support service.
Final Thoughts on Using Collarspace
All in all, I like that Collarspace.com has created a community where people are free to indulge in and live out various kinks, fetishes, and fantasies. I think that the site has a few good things going for it. I personally find myself frequenting the Resources feature quite a bit during my time on the site for this Collarspace review.
But honestly, the site’s interface and usability are abysmal. I didn’t enjoy it one bit. And with all of the fake profiles on the site and the lack of a present support system, I didn’t feel at ease with the thought of finding a hookup from the site. I think there are similar websites out there that can offer more than what Collarspace mobile site is offering. I don’t mind paying a monthly fee to ensure that I have a pleasant online experience and a supportive, fast-reacting customer service team on standby. Benaughty or VictorialHearts may be better options.
