You will then need to create a username and password, as well as disclose your location and give a valid email address. With that said, I beg of you, please fill out a bit of your profile and add at least one photo if you actually want to find a hookup. As any other iHookup dating site will confirm, there’s nothing particularly special about the platform's interface. It’s simple, albeit a little cluttered. On your homepage, you have a dashboard that gives you quick access to your messages and your favorites list. You will also find quick links to various site features, which we will discuss further down in this iHookup review.

In the center of the page, you’ll find a selection of possible matches in your area, and if any of these members are currently online, you’ll see a red light at the top right-hand side of their profile photo. Considering the rather low number of site members across the country, I was surprised to see so many people listed in my area. So much so that I Immediately started questioning is iHookup a legit site. Nevertheless, I started sending off messages.

iHookup Profile Quality

Remember earlier in this iHookup.com review when I mentioned neither a profile photo nor profile info was required at sign-up? This would explain why there are so many blank or mediocre profiles on this site.

Of course, you’ll be able to find decent profiles, but if adding photos and some basic information was mandatory during the registration process, it would make searching for hookups so much easier and entertaining.

One important thing to mention is that some of the profiles that are filled out and have multiple photos are, at least to me, obviously fake. Users, be warned; I can sense scammers abound.

You may have come across an iHookup com review that talks about the site's live videos. These videos are broadcasted by professional models, and from time to time, it seems like videos are being broadcasted by actual site members.

iHookup Security

Not sure whether is iHookup legit or not, but the site’s security was of the utmost importance to me. It only takes a couple of minutes on this site for you to feel like you’re about to step on a landmine at any moment. There are so many sketchy-looking profiles that I just was not at ease browsing. Before sending off messages, I really inspected the profile to determine whether it was a real person or not. I not only want to avoid being scammed, but I hate wasting my time. I don’t want to find out I’ve been trying to organize a hookup with a bot for the past hour.

The site does send out regular tips on how to avoid scammers and encourages platform users to contact Customer Support if any issues or suspicious activity take place. Aside from these little bits of “security,” the site is SSL encrypted, but that’s about all I’ve been able to find on this subject for this iHookup app review.

Is iHookup legit?

I went into this review thinking I was going to find an X-rated Tinder, and although this is what the app seems to be going for, it just doesn’t feel as authentic. Nevertheless, the site has a good amount of features to dig into and a decent amount of people listed in my area every time I log in. I met a few enthusiastic ladies, and though there seem to be many more real people looking for IRL hookups, many of the first messages I received were from fake accounts.

I think the price of the Silver Plan is rather high, considering the only features you gain access to under this feature are sending and receiving messages, a feature that is often free on similar apps. However, even though it can be lower, the price for the gold plan is acceptable for the other features it gives you access to, especially the Live Shows.

So here’s my final take on iHookup; skip it if you are strictly looking for Hookups. There are other sites that charge less or nothing at all to exchange messages. But if, in addition to looking for hookups, you’re looking for a sexy online community to pass some of your time, you may want to check out this site.
